No Wrong Way Movement

I want to tell you about an awesome thing I was able to be a part of. While I was pretty much bed ridden at the tail end of my treatments social media was my connection to the outside world. I follow this beautiful woman, Denise Bidot, on Instagram and Facebook. She is not only a beauty but she is also all about body positivity and just loving yourself. She has this campaign called No Wrong Way Movement and of course it’s all about inclusivity and being accepted just the way you are because we all are beautiful and unique. One day, December 27, 2016, I saw a post asking if you wanted to be a part of the Class of 2017. Honestly I thought it was just to be included in emails and events for the No Wrong Way Movement, so I sent a DM and told them a little about myself and sent a picture like they said to do. About a week later I received a reply telling me that yes I do qualify. I waited for more and sure enough a week after that I received another message telling me I was in the final

I will be mentioning these two a lot so let me tell you a little a bit about them. I met my husband, Robert, in '87 when we were both 20 years old and working at Mervyns in Glendale. I am so lucky and blessed to have a husband like Robert, he is kind, compassionate, strong, loving and patient. He helped keep me strong while I was going through my treatments and sat with me for every chemo treatment which lasted 5 hours once a week. He made sure I ate

I recently finished having radiation and chemo for V ulvar C ancer. It's not one of the most common cancers but then I have never been the type of person who had to have what everyone else had.  F or example I refuse to get an iPhone, I am not in high school anymore I don't need to be part of the in crowd, but that's another subject for  anoth er  day.    July 20, 2016  -  I’m the type of person who hates going to the doctor unless I’m really, really sick. So needless to say I have not gotten a check up in ages. I have not been feeling good in months and I was in a lot of pain so I finally sucked it up and went to the doctor because I just couldn’t bare the pain anymore.  I was given a note to stay home for a week to let my infection heal since being diabetic it was not healing and eventually tur
